Frats For Real
If you polled 1000 random (or randy) gay men about what types are on their top-10 fantasy list, chances are “fraternity/college guy” would win, place or show. The fascination with preps is well supported on Internet porn sites offering up everything from stripping sophomores to sucking seniors. One can peruse college-based porn sites such as:
CollegeCock.com: “The largest collection of college cock pics ever assembled” DirtyBoyVideo.com: “College boys getting off”
FratBoysLive.com: “The hottest gay chat on the net”
GalaxyMale.com: “Buff naked dorm jocks”
HardFreshmen.com: “Duh.”
While searching the web for these sites and more, you may come across frat site dlp.org. This is the home page for Delta Lambda Phi, which bills itself as a national fraternity for gay, bisexual and progressive gentlemen. No porn here, but a real gay fraternity.
Founded in Washington, D.C., in 1987, DLP was created to be a social fraternity that wouldn’t discriminate based on sexual orientation. Twenty-four men pledged. Since then the fraternity has grown to 2500 members in 23 chapters, including: University of Minnesota, Minneapolis; California State University, Long Beach; University of Washington, Seattle; Purdue University, Indiana; Southern Methodist University, Dallas; Kent State University, Ohio; North Carolina State University, Raleigh; and International University, Miami.
More chapters are in the works. If you are of college age, maybe you can start one on your campus.
But, DLP is not limited to active students. Its community-based chapters permit non-students to join. The organization says the reason for this is that by allowing non-students or postgraduates to join, gay men who didn’t attend college or who were denied the Greek experience in college due to anti-gay bias can still enjoy the fraternity experience.
Right on, my Greek brothers
